The Brunello team introduces a new chapter for the Traditional Kafeneio, reviving the essence of the classic mageireio (home-style Greek eatery) in the heart of the city.
Respecting its authentic identity, the Kafeneio once again becomes a place where tradition meets today’s gastronomic perspective.
At the helm of the kitchen is Kyriaki Fotopoulou, a chef with profound knowledge of Greek ingredients, widely recognized for her work at Ktima Sigalas and Ktima Kir-Yianni. Fotopoulou draws inspiration from seasonal produce, shaping a menu that evolves with the rhythm of nature.
Her dishes combine the everyday spirit of Greek family cooking with techniques and aesthetics that highlight the purity of flavors.
At lunchtime, the Kafeneio stays true to its role as a mageireio: simple, comforting stews and casseroles, honoring the clarity of ingredients. In the evening, the space transforms into a more atmospheric bistrot, where Greek cuisine unfolds through shared plates and meze, paired with a carefully curated wine list.
