At the rooftop of Onassis Stegi, Amphibian brings together seasonal cooking, relaxed service and one of Athens’ most striking views

Amphibian, the new gastronomic project by Chef Patron Tasos Mantis, Alex Mouridis and the team behind Soil, is now unveiling the full experience on the 7th floor of Onassis Stegi, including its striking rooftop terrace. Set above the city, with unobstructed views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill, Amphibian introduces a new dining destination in the heart of Athens.

At a time when the city’s rooftops are taking centre stage, Amphibian offers a different kind of experience. Refined yet unpretentious, it brings contemporary gastronomy into a more relaxed and accessible setting. With a modern à la carte menu designed for a freer approach to good food, Amphibian is open to many different moments, from a planned dinner to a post-performance meal at Stegi, or a spontaneous evening out for food, drinks and a view over Athens.

In the fully renovated open kitchen on the rooftop of Onassis Stegi, the team led by Chef Patron Tasos Mantis creates an evolving menu shaped by seasonality and carefully selected ingredients. The dishes are designed to be shared or enjoyed at each guest’s own pace. Among the menu highlights are the chef’s emblematic shrimp, one of the first signature dishes of Soil, eel ramen, black pork schnitzel with celeriac, and beef tartare served with a savoury waffle.

With prices starting from €8 for individual snacks and from €26 for main courses, Amphibian shows that a distinctive rooftop dining experience in Athens can remain approachable, welcoming and open to all. The menu offers the flexibility to enjoy the experience for around €60 per person, without compromising on quality or character.

True to its philosophy of Transitional Gastronomy, Amphibian moves between Mediterranean and international cuisine, land and water, the refined and the relaxed. The result is an experience that balances precision with genuine pleasure.

Soon, the experience will be completed with the official opening of the rooftop bar, adding a stronger evening character to the destination. The bar will feature signature gastronomy cocktails, elevated bites and curated music selections by Giorgos Seragos of Best Radio 92.6.

At the same time, Amphibian presents its renewed website, www.amphibian.restaurant, where guests can discover the world, philosophy and menu of this new destination, as well as make their reservations with ease.
