Astir Marina Vouliagmeni and Yacht Club de Monaco: A New Era of Collaboration.

Memorandum of Understanding aiming to achieve the certification “La Belle Classe Destinations by YCM.”

Astir Marina Vouliagmeni and the Yacht Club de Monaco have strengthened their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to achieve the certification “La Belle Classe Destinations by YCM.” This certification sets a standard of excellence in the quality of facilities, services, and events offered, creating a network that promotes the development of sustainable yachting on an international level.

As part of this collaboration, representatives of Astir Palace had the opportunity to meet with Prince Albert II of Monaco, who closely monitors the project from an environmental perspective. During their stay in the Principality, Penny Zaglaridou, Vice President of the Board of Directors and CEO of Astir Palace Vouliagmeni, and Konstantinos Mitsios, Director of Development, held a working meeting with Bernard d’Alessandri, Secretary General of the Yacht Club de Monaco, and Aleco Keusseoglou, President of Port Monaco, to discuss the design of the new Astir Yacht Club. Konstantinos Mitsios presented the architectural plans of the future Astir Yacht Club and stated: “This collaboration marks a new chapter for Astir Marina and the yachting sector in Greece. Our goal is to offer services that meet the highest international standards while ensuring sustainability and respect for the natural environment of the Athenian Riviera. A valuable ally on this journey is the Mayor of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni, Mr. Grigoris Konstantellos, who from day one has crucially supported this project, ensuring that Astir Marina becomes a point of reference for tourism in our country.”

This collaboration is part of Astir Palace’s ongoing strategy to leverage Monaco’s expertise in the yachting sector. Since 2019, when the ambitious project to upgrade Astir Marina began, with the goal of providing top-quality services, the Marina has established itself as a benchmark for high-level projects. Astir Marina works closely with the Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco (SEPM), covering aspects related to infrastructure design, technical and environmental issues, and the implementation of best practices.

Astir Yacht Club is expected to open its doors in 2026, becoming a meeting point for sea and yachting enthusiasts, creating a new community of maritime activities along the Athenian Riviera.
