Ranked #17 in The World’s 50 Best Hotels this year, Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is introducing a renewed vision of wellness that places the relationship between people and the natural world at its core.
At the hotel’s award-winning spa, wellbeing is approached as an evolving journey. New Omorovicza treatments, together with a meaningful tree-planting initiative, reflect a philosophy that connects personal renewal with environmental responsibility. General Manager Jann Kaiser states:
At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, we believe true wellness begins with connection – with ourselves, our communities and the Earth. Our latest initiatives bring this philosophy to life by promoting health, balance and vitality on every level.
Set on a serene peninsula along the Athenian Riviera, surrounded by pine forests and the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, the hotel offers a natural sanctuary for restoration. Inspired by the Hippocratic philosophy of holistic health, the spa draws on the healing properties of water, essential oils, local herbs and medicinal flowers, combining ancient wisdom with modern hydrotherapy.
This connection with nature also extends beyond the spa. In January 2026, the hotel launched its first tree-planting initiative in partnership with the non-profit organisation We4All. The project is linked to the spa’s signature Yi treatment, inspired by the Greek word for “Earth”. Over the past year, the treatment has helped fund the future planting of 1,648 trees, with three trees donated for every Yi booking. The first phase will see 200 trees planted in nearby Kavouri, creating a new green space close to the hotel.
Alongside these sustainability initiatives, the spa is introducing new treatments in collaboration with the Hungarian skincare brand Omorovicza, known for harnessing the mineral-rich healing waters of Hungary.
Among the highlights are the Elixir Power Signature Facial and the Blue Diamond Performance Facial, both designed to restore radiance and improve skin vitality through a combination of advanced skincare technology and traditional Hungarian massage techniques. Hydrafacial technology further enhances the experience with deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration, while customised booster serums and LED light therapy allow treatments to be tailored to individual skin needs.
Spanning 1,300 square metres, the spa is designed as a sanctuary in harmony with its surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame expansive views of the Aegean Sea, while the indoor pool, hydrotherapy areas and the Spa & Wellness Garden offer spaces dedicated to relaxation and genuine restoration.
