The Hotel Grande Bretagne invites history enthusiasts to a series of walks titled “Discovering Athens: From the Hotel Grande Bretagne to the Heart of the City.” Renowned journalist and author Nikos Vatopoulos leads these tours, guiding participants through the secrets of the wider historic center.

The route touches on neoclassical buildings, neighborhoods from the interwar period and the post-war reconstruction era, central avenues, and picturesque alleys, squares, and iconic landmarks of the capital, beginning and ending at the Hotel Grande Bretagne. This unique journey through the streets of Athens, which has evolved alongside the hotel for a century and a half, offers a deeper understanding of the city, blending its recent historical path with contemporary reality.

Tours will take place every Sunday, from September 15th to October 6th, starting at 11:00 am. Admission is free, with reservations required, via eventora.gr.
