Four Seasons Astir Palace’s Avra Bar Welcomes Nikos Tachmazis as New Bar Manager.

The renowned cocktail bar proudly announces Nikos Tachmazis as its new Bar Manager, ushering in an exciting new chapter in elevated hospitality.

Located at the iconic Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, Avra Bar welcomes a bold evolution in mixology with the arrival of internationally acclaimed bartender Nikos Tachmazis at the helm. Bringing extensive global experience and award-winning creations, Tachmazis and his team are set to further elevate Avra Bar as a standout destination for both local and international guests.

With a continued focus on seasonality, locality, and innovation, the new chapter promises an exceptional bar program that places the guest at the center. Drawing on his creativity and deep industry expertise, Tachmazis aims to make Avra Bar a point of reference for world-class hospitality and pioneering cocktail craftsmanship.

Having started his bartending journey in Greece at the age of 18, Tachmazis quickly turned mixology into a means of creative expression. Over the last decade, he has honed his skills at renowned bars, restaurants, and cocktail lounges around the world—including his role as Bar Manager at Artesian in 2022, and his impactful tenure at the award-winning Bar Termini in Soho, which was ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars for three consecutive years.

He has also held positions at Four Seasons hotels in London and Milan, and now returns to his homeland to shape a dynamic and promising future for Avra Bar.

“For me, true luxury isn’t just served in a glass—it’s an experience that stirs something deep. It’s in the details, the atmosphere, the emotion a cocktail can evoke. My goal is to craft moments that stay with you—where every drink tells a story, and every guest feels truly cared for,” he says.
