Jamie Oliver in Athens: A Celebration of Sharing and Flavor.

Jamie Oliver Kitchen at Golden Hall welcomed Jamie Oliver on April 15 and 16 for a special two-day experience dedicated to the restaurant’s philosophy and its approach to food — one rooted in freshness, sharing and contemporary dining.

On the first day of his visit to Athens, Jamie Oliver spent time at Jamie Oliver Kitchen, meeting both his team and guests in a warm and informal setting. Through conversations and interactions, he highlighted the core philosophy of the restaurant, speaking about the menu, its dishes and the flavors that define it: selections inspired by global cuisines, crafted with fresh ingredients and designed to create a dining experience that combines quality, familiarity and accessible enjoyment.

On the second day, Jamie Oliver visited the Varvakios Market alongside chef Giorgos Papakostas, experiencing firsthand the authenticity of Athens’ central food market and the importance of high-quality raw ingredients — a cornerstone of his culinary philosophy.

Later, he returned to Jamie Oliver Kitchen at Golden Hall, where he welcomed chef Akis Petretzikis for a conversation exploring diverse culinary influences, the role of quality ingredients and his impressions of Greek gastronomy.

As part of the visit, a sharing menu experience was hosted for guests from the food and lifestyle scene. During the gathering, Jamie Oliver spoke about the concept behind Jamie Oliver Kitchen and the experience the restaurant aims to offer to the Athenian audience.

As he noted:

Everywhere I walked in Athens, I felt so much love. Food brings people together, and that connection is what keeps culture alive.

Jamie Oliver’s presence in Athens reinforced the identity of Jamie Oliver Kitchen as a contemporary culinary destination at Golden Hall — one of the city’s most refined hubs for shopping and lifestyle.
