The sights and sounds of Korean pop culture took centre stage on Thursday night, as OMEGA House Paris welcomed guests to an exclusive K-Wave celebration. At the heart of the event was actress and OMEGA global ambassador, So-hee Han, who brought her undeniable style and charisma to the occasion.
OMEGA House is the Swiss brand’s exclusive home for the duration of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, at which OMEGA is fulfilling the role of Official Timekeeper. The upbeat “K-Wave” event was a chance to immerse everyone in the playful genre of Korean entertainment.
Speaking at the celebration, OMEGA President and CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann, said, “OMEGA has a strong connection with Korea, not only through our watches, but also through our Olympic and Paralympic timekeeping in Seoul and PyeongChang. We love the dynamism of the Korean culture, which is celebrated across Asia. With So-hee joining us in Paris, it felt like a great opportunity to do something really different and joyful at these Olympic Games.”
The actress and model So-hee Han has established herself as one of South Korea’s finest leading ladies. Beginning her career with a number of supporting roles, she has since taken on the starring characters in TV series including Nevertheless, My Name, and The World of the Married, for which she received wide recognition and acclaim. She joined OMEGA in 2022 and has since appeared in several campaigns and at international brand events.
Stepping into OMEGA House Paris, she said, “OMEGA is always full of surprises, especially in the magic of their watchmaking, as well as their incredible ability to measure every event at the Olympic Games. The K-Wave event here tonight is another surprise. I love that the brand is honouring Korean culture in such an energetic way. It’s an experience I won’t forget.”
Located at The Hôtel de Poulpry, Maison des Polytechniciens, just steps from the Musée d’Orsay, OMEGA House Paris celebrates OMEGA’s role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. During the day, members can relax in a variety of sophisticated spaces, while by night, the location hosts a series of VIP events and themed evenings, celebrated alongside OMEGA’s family of celebrity friends. The site will remain open to members until Saturday, August 10th.
