A new partnership between the Greek Ministry of Tourism and the Monocle Group will showcase the country’s diverse offerings, including its ancient heritage, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality.
The Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) have joined forces with the renowned Monocle Group to elevate Greece’s global image. The partnership was unveiled at a special event held at the Athénée on Monday, December 9th, by the Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni.
The collaboration aims to highlight Greece’s unique blend of history, culture, and contemporary lifestyle. Through Monocle’s influential publications, digital platforms, and events, the country will be showcased to a discerning international audience, both in traditional and emerging markets.
A key component of this partnership is the release of “The Monocle Handbook: Greece,” a 250-page guidebook that delves into the country’s most captivating destinations, from iconic landmarks to hidden gems. The book highlights Greece’s rich culinary scene, world-class museums and galleries, and the warm hospitality of its people.
“Through the lens of Monocle, we will present Greece as a timeless and contemporary destination,” said Minister Kefalogianni. “A country that honors its past while embracing innovation, offering a multifaceted experience that resonates with today’s global travelers.”
Andrew Tuck, Editor-in-Chief of Monocle, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Greece feels like home. This publication connects the experiences of its mountains and coasts, inviting readers to discover hidden gems and immerse themselves in the country’s unique culture.”
The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of cultural and business leaders, including Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, who played a crucial role in facilitating the partnership.
This collaboration marks a significant step in promoting Greece as a premier travel destination and underscores its position as a cultural and historical powerhouse.
