Mykonos—an effortlessly elegant retreat that embraces the island’s soul and origins through design, atmosphere, and a profound connection to place. Framed by sea, sky, and sand, Sunrise invites guests to rediscover the Mykonos of memory: raw, refined, and naturally beautiful. Part of the Myconian Collection and a proud member of Relais & Châteaux, Sunrise represents the latest evolution of high-end hospitality on the island.
Rooted in Cycladic simplicity, its design is a contemporary homage to island living. The architecture is defined by low, sculptural forms that flow with the land, while the material palette draws from the island’s elemental richness—sun-drenched earth, whitewashed walls, driftwood, and rough-textured plaster. This honesty in materiality is balanced with an uplifting sense of play through bold accents, handcrafted touches, and curated colors that mirror the rhythm of the landscape.
Each guest room is conceived as a soft, sunlit sanctuary. The design speaks in warm, tactile tones— washed timber, woven raffia, terracotta hues, and custom-dyed textiles inspired by the fading colors of the Mykonian sunset. Curved carpentry details echo the natural forms of the island’s rocky coves, while headboard walls serve as artistic installations—hand-painted with fluid, wave-like patterns, a nod to the motion of the nearby sea and the carefree exuberance of the ’60s.
Public areas offer a sensory journey shaped by openness, texture, and Greek craftsmanship. Custom-made furniture by Furniture Gallery and finishes embrace a dialogue between past and present—where ceramic vases, ropewrapped lighting, and geometric accents are reinterpreted with contemporary clarity and softness. Every piece was designed or selected to reinforce a feeling of calm, authenticity, and tactile luxury.
