Imagine Visual Arts invites the public to the opening of PLAYROOM, a group exhibition curated by art historian Eleni Gatsa, opening on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 18:00 to 22:00.
PLAYROOM brings together ten contemporary Greek artists in a shared visual field where play is not merely a pastime, but a conscious creative and artistic act. Through diverse media and personal visual languages, the participating artists explore play as a space of experimentation, imagination, freedom and reflection, revealing its deeper cultural and conceptual dimensions within contemporary art practice.
The exhibition proposes a “playground” where viewers are invited to reconsider the boundaries between seriousness and spontaneity, structure and improvisation, concept and instinct. In this context, play becomes a method, a narrative tool and a critical gesture.
