Yesterday evening, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) welcomed the new year with a bang, featuring spectacular fireworks, live music, a grand party at the Agora, the first race of the year, and ice skating until 2:00 AM!
As every year, the SNFCC put on its festive attire and welcomed the public to celebrate the New Year. Yesterday, the New Year’s Eve program kicked off at 22:30 with Ian Stratis, who excited the audience with his vibrant and unique stage presence. Known for his unique ability to combine various musical genres, from pop and rock to alternative sounds, Ian Stratis presented beloved songs in dynamic performances, turning the concert into an unforgettable musical celebration! The host of the glamorous evening was actor and singer Jerome Kalouda.
Of course, the program of the evening would not be complete without the impressive choreographies of the fountains in the Canal, while the year changed with a spectacular fireworks show that illuminated the Athenian sky with brilliance and color. In the first minutes of the new year, the starting signal was given for the first race of the year, the now-established SNF RUN: 2025 FIRST RUN of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Afterwards, a grand party was set up at the Agora with the living legend of disco and first superstar DJ in Greece of the 80s, Nicola Lavacca, who offered magical dance moments in an authentic disco party until the early hours of the morning.
In parallel, the Ice Rink and the Stavros Niarchos Park remained open, only for this night, until 2:00 AM, for those who wanted to welcome the new year by skating or taking pictures at the impressive Light Installations. Treats and many more surprises completed the New Year’s Eve scene at the SNFCC.
