At the heart of Zeus+Dione’s new Fall/Winter ’25 collection stands the ever-evolving female figure—at times seductive, enigmatic, unpredictable, and free. Inspiration emerges from the mythic form of the Chimera, the archetype of the “hybrid”: where the human meets the divine, instinct balances reason, and myth intertwines with surrealism.
Creative Director Marios Schwab brings the Chimera of Arezzo into the present, imprinting its imagined form onto silk using a nearly forgotten engraving technique. One of the most traditional forms of art, this meticulous process involves sketching on paper, carving into wood, and stamping to bring the design to life—culminating in a signature scarf. This scarf, part of a broader series of silk designs, becomes an emblematic piece in the collection.
Embossed leather, sculpted metallic elements, and intricate embroidery explore the fusion of human and animal forms. For the first time, leopard print appears—striking a balance between statement-making and timeless elegance.
The aura of Art Nouveau runs throughout the collection. Fringes and tassels on sleeves and hems create fluid movement. Lace and ribbons flirt with transparency, teasing and revealing the silhouette. Pleated textures add depth and flow, while wool coats with strong shoulders and collars, along with pleated trousers, evoke the nautical aesthetics of the 1920s–30s as depicted in the novels of M. Karagatsis.
The color palette is warm and earthy, with shades of khaki, deep burgundy, grey-blue, and cream. Sword-spun silk is woven in ivory with golden thread, while the gradient Tempo fabrics offer soft tonal shifts—from dark to light khaki, grey-blue, and burgundy. Leather is reintroduced with printed motifs inspired by snake, pony, zebra, and leopard patterns.
Silk, wool, velvet corduroy, and wool-linen with a denim-like texture are paired with shearling outerwear, delivering comfort and warmth. All fabrics are dyed with eco-friendly methods that reduce water consumption and are sourced exclusively from certified, environmentally responsible suppliers. Even the smallest details reflect this philosophy: buttons are made from natural or recycled materials.
Accessories include handwoven leather belts that revive the art of passementerie. The many forms of the Chimera are echoed in jewelry combining gold and platinum tones—Pegasus wings wrap around wrists or dangle from the neck, while pearls are tied with delicate cords, completing the collection’s narrative.
