On the evening of Tuesday, May 27th, the heart of Athens beat to the rhythm of fashion. The culmination of the 20th anniversary celebration of the attica Department Stores’ presence in Greece transformed the historic City Link building into a scene of ultimate inspiration and style, inviting the public to the unique experience “Fashion in Motion – Not a catwalk. A fashion experience.” that went beyond the boundaries of a traditional fashion show.
The Spiromiliou Arcade, an architectural landmark of Athens, was specifically transformed for the 20th anniversary celebration of attica into a living canvas, blending the grandeur of the location with modern elements of the city and, of course, fashion. It was a celebration full of color, music, creativity, and emotions, uniting fashion with the pulse of the city and creating an unforgettable vibe for those fortunate enough to experience it in person.
“Fashion in Motion – Not a catwalk. A fashion experience.” brought fashion to life and energized the attica City Link, with catwalks unfolding in every corner of the department store with a total of 80 models and artists. From the windows that came to life to the floors and external facades, the experience for everyone was enchanting. Passersby and visitors experienced fashion as performance, through live acts, fashion shows, and music—a truly interactive experience that celebrated creativity and expression in every form.
Vicky Kaya, as the host of the spectacular fashion show, added sparkle to the night, while artists such as Thodoris Marantinis, Evangelia, Marseaux, Ilias Bogdanos, Tania Breeze, and Good Job Nicky provided the musical backdrop for the themed catwalks, with performances that elevated the atmosphere and connected fashion with the pulse of the city.
Fashion, of course, was the centerpiece, with catwalks inspired by different fashion concepts—from resortwear and swimwear to elevated denim and urban contemporary—creatively combined with the musical acts, creating an experience of high aesthetic value. The highlight of the night came when an impressive catwalk featuring Vicky Kaya and all the models started from the heart of attica City Link and spilled out onto the streets of Panepistimiou and Voukourestiou, leading the audience to the Spiromiliou Arcade, which was flooded with pulse, style, and energy. There, the party continued with vigor, music, and dance, in an explosive finale filled with rhythm and positive energy, dramatically concluded by OneManShow and Evangelia.
MAD, in collaboration with attica, jointly shaped the creative idea, while the production was fully handled by MAD, offering an impressive event that will surely become the “talk of the town” and remain unforgettable to the visitors of the department store, the passersby who were there, the invited guests, and of course to those who watched it live on Instagram and YouTube from attica.
The evening’s success was also supported by key partners, who contributed significantly to the creation of this unique result. The uniquely unusual Hendrick’s Gin, made with extracts of rose petals and cucumber, offered distinctive tasting suggestions with cocktails inspired by the fashion event, while MAC and Wella took charge of artistic direction in makeup and hair, respectively, further enhancing the dynamic and style of each appearance. The restaurants Pasaji and Atelier Papaioannou provided gastronomic creations that complemented the experience.
With over 1,100 brands and 35,500 square meters dedicated to fashion, beauty, and the shopping experience, the attica Department Stores, a member company of IDEAL Holdings, continue to redefine what modern luxury means in Greece.
