The first “smart” city in Europe to be designed entirely from the ground up will offer residents, employees and visitors state-of-the-art and innovative telecommunications services throughout the development.
LAMDA Development, through its subsidiary HELLINIKON S.A., has signed a memorandum of understanding with COSMOTE TELEKOM, aiming to strengthen the technological ecosystem of The Ellinikon. This collaboration in the field of telecommunications supports the realization of the project as the first fully planned and constructed next-generation smart city in Europe, integrating advanced digital infrastructure and cutting-edge connectivity services.
As part of the partnership, the development and operation of an ultra-modern fiber optic network is foreseen, designed to meet the needs of the future. This network will cover the entirety of The Ellinikon, offering ultra-high internet speeds and superior connectivity for residents, businesses and visitors. Moreover, it will be open to all telecommunications providers, ensuring broad access and high-quality services across the board.
In addition, the two companies will co-develop a range of retail telecommunications services, offering fixed and mobile telephony as well as pay-TV packages exclusively for the residents and businesses of The Ellinikon. They will also jointly deliver ICT (Information & Communication Technology) solutions for enterprises located within The Ellinikon, creating a comprehensive ecosystem of digital services.
