OMEGA has been announced as the Official Timekeeper of TGL presented by SoFi, as part of a comprehensive, multi-year partnership with the primetime team golf league.
At the center of the collaboration is OMEGA’s sponsorship of TGL’s signature 40-second shot clock, a defining feature of the league’s fast-paced format. The shot clock plays a key role in shaping the competitive rhythm of matches and has been instrumental in attracting fans to TGL’s innovative approach to team golf.
TGL’s second season returns on Sunday, December 28, airing on ABC in the United States, marking the league’s broadcast network debut. The season opens with a rematch of last year’s Finals between New York Golf Club and defending champions Atlanta Drive GC.
“Golf is a strong part of OMEGA’s sporting DNA, and we’re excited to grow our support of the game alongside TGL. The league’s unique format strongly appeals to our pioneering spirit, while highlighting core brand values such as team dynamics, precision, power, time, and technology“, said Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA.
Jason Langwell, Chief Revenue Officer of TMRW Sports, noted the broader impact of the partnership:
“Welcoming a global luxury brand like OMEGA as our Official Timekeeper underscores the growing appeal of TGL. This season, the league will reach more than 150 countries and territories worldwide, while continuing to resonate with younger audiences thanks to the fast pace of its matches.”
Beyond serving as Official Timekeeper and sponsoring the shot clock during matches, OMEGA’s partnership includes digital and social media integrations, as well as the presence of OMEGA clocks throughout SoFi Center, TGL’s purpose-built venue in Palm Beach Gardens. These installations form part of the league’s premium hospitality experience for fans attending matches throughout the season.
TGL rosters also feature two OMEGA ambassadors: Rory McIlroy, competing for Boston Common Golf, and Wyndham Clark of The Bay GolfClub. Boston Common Golf opens its Season 2 campaign on Friday, January 2, at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2, while The Bay Golf Club makes its Season 2 debut on Tuesday, January 6, at 5:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
