Musical Walk with the Athens State Orchestra | Tuesday, March 31, 2026

The Acropolis Museum celebrates the arrival of spring with a distinctive chamber music concert in the Parthenon Gallery on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, as part of the “Musical Walks” series organized by the Athens State Orchestra.

The Woodwind Quintet of the Athens State Orchestra—Vangelis Stathoulopoulos, Christina Pantelidou, Spyros Mourikis, Odysseas Bassios, and Grigoris Assonitis—joined by Dimitris Desyllas on percussion, will perform two renowned works arranged for this ensemble. The program places Antonín Dvořák in dialogue with Manos Hadjidakis, two composers who may appear far apart, yet share a profound sense of lyricism and melodic beauty.

The event includes:

  • 5:30 p.m. | Guided tour of the Museum’s exhibition galleries with an archaeologist
  • 7:00 p.m. | Musical performance in the Parthenon Gallery

Due to limited availability, advance online reservation is required to secure participation, and tickets must be collected from the Museum ticket counters on the day of the event. More information here.
