The beloved concert series “Jazz at the Museum,” presented by the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, continues this season under the title Her Voice, expanding into new musical territories. By incorporating elements of classical music, lyrical song and other expressive forms, the series highlights the enduring power of musical art.
On Friday, April 3, the series welcomes the Idylle Piano Trio for the performance Chamber Music with the Idylle Piano Trio.
The ensemble—featuring Vasiliki Mazaraki on violin, Fotini Nikolopoulou on cello and Ioanna Avraam on piano—presents an atmospheric evening dedicated to three iconic composers: Dmitri Shostakovich, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Astor Piazzolla.
The programme is marked by strong expressiveness and dramatic intensity, offering a compelling blend of tango, jazz and classical music.
Vasiliki Mazaraki has collaborated with major institutions including the Athens State Orchestra, the ERT Symphony Orchestra and the Greek National Opera. She is actively involved in contemporary Greek music ensembles and has worked with prominent composers in the field.
Fotini Nikolopoulou has been a permanent member of the Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra since 2001 and has performed extensively in chamber music settings, interpreting works from the classical repertoire in duos, trios and larger productions.
Ioanna Avraam has appeared in numerous solo and chamber music concerts in Greece and France, collaborating with leading ensembles, and has also participated in recordings and competitions.
