The recently renovated GB Roof Garden Restaurant, perched atop the historic Hotel Grande Bretagne, hosted its official opening with a special event for journalists and media representatives at the restaurant’s idyllic Bar8. Guests had the opportunity to admire the newly refreshed space, experience its grand atmosphere, and enjoy a unique evening in the heart of Athens.
The impressive redesign of the GB Roof Garden, undertaken by the award-winning British design firm Goddard Littlefair, exudes an elegance that captivates visitors from the very first moment. The new majestic dining room features natural materials such as white marble and wood, which give depth to the space while preserving its authenticity. At the same time, these elements enhance one of the restaurant’s most striking features—the breathtaking view of the Acropolis.
Particular attention was drawn to the new uniforms of the restaurant staff, created in collaboration with the renowned Greek fashion house Zeus n Dione. The uniforms for the reception staff, waiters, and bartenders, expertly designed and tailored by Zeus n Dione in shades of soft beige, elegant olive, and classic black, exude sophistication. They blend modern style with elements of Greek tradition and are perfectly aligned with the ambiance of the space.
At the live food station, Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis impressed guests with the fusion flavors of the Bar Bites menu, which have become favorite choices for visitors of Bar8. The delightful cocktails crafted by the bartenders, paired with the stunning view and the welcoming atmosphere, created an evening filled with beautiful memories in the heart of Athens.
