On Sunday, May 25 at 21:00, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) invites audiences to the Dome at the Stavros Niarchos Park for a unique musical journey into the enigmatic world of legendary filmmaker David Lynch. An evening into the unknown, where music meets mystery, poetry, and the cinematic brilliance of an iconic creator.
Through dreamlike soundscapes that move between dream pop melodies, hypnotic country ballads, jazzy motifs, and eerie electronic tones, the audience will experience a world suspended between reality and imagination.
Actors Vasiliki Driva and Alkis Bakogiannis will open the evening with a prologue-tour through the labyrinthine universe of David Lynch. Musical direction is by George Zervos, who will be joined by an ensemble of exceptional artists performing songs from Lynch’s film and television soundtracks. Among others, the program includes Julee Cruise’s “Falling” from the cult series Twin Peaks, Roy Orbison’s “In Dreams” from the masterpiece Blue Velvet, and Elvis Presley’s “Love Me” from Wild at Heart.
