“Hormonall”: Vichy’s New Social Responsibility Initiative.

Vichy, staying true to its long-standing commitment to skin health and to a holistic approach to health and beauty, proudly presents in Greece its new global social initiative, Hormonall.

On Monday, September 22, 2025, at a special event hosted at the Book Tower of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), the initiative was officially launched, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment. Its goal: to change the way women’s hormonal changes are perceived throughout all stages of life, to challenge stereotypes, and to ensure access to accurate information and support.

The social initiative Hormonall by Vichy is designed to support women experiencing the impact of hormonal fluctuations at every stage of life: adolescence, the menstrual cycle, the postpartum period, and menopause. Its main objectives are awareness, education, and the destigmatization of the effects of hormonal changes, offering reliable sources of information not only to women, but to society at large. This initiative aims to empower the whole of society, creating the right conditions for women to embrace each stage of their life journey.

Hormones are a key dimension of holistic health, directly affecting physical and mental wellbeing. According to a recent Greek study by the research company KANTAR, commissioned by Vichy (February 2024):

  • 65% of women in Greece state that they experience hormonal imbalances that negatively affect their lives, at all ages. Specifically, 70% report effects during adolescence, 67% in relation to premenstrual syndrome, and 39% during the postpartum period.
  • Women often face the effects of hormonal changes in silence, feeling misunderstood, isolated, and uninformed, due to four main barriers: lack of information, lack of knowledge, lack of open discussion, and lack of freedom of expression.
  • 8 out of 10 women consider Vichy to be the most appropriate brand to address the subject of hormonal changes, thanks to its scientific background, holistic health approach, trustworthiness, extensive expertise, and pioneering role in raising awareness around menopause.

Backed by decades of scientific research and deep knowledge of women’s skin and scalp biology, Vichy Laboratories is committed to accompanying women through all stages of life. Its mission: to reduce the impact of both internal and external factors on women’s skin and scalp, and to develop the most effective solutions that enhance their health.

For the implementation of the program in Greece, Vichy has established a strategic partnership with Women’s Health First (WHF), a unique social initiative founded by women gynecologists. WHF will act as the scientific lead, focusing on research, information, and the empowerment of women.

During the launch event, speakers approached the issue of hormonal changes from different perspectives. Beginning with the social commitment of Vichy, presented by Brand Manager Eleni Lekkou, the discussion continued with the social and medical dimensions of the program, represented by the Women’s Health First team: Dr. Ioanna Tsiaousi, Obstetrician-Gynecologist and President of WHF; Dr. Aikaterini Papakonstantinou, Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Vice President of WHF; and Dr. Nektaria Chalkia, Obstetrician-Gynecologist and General Secretary of WHF. In addition, Tolis Giakoumakis, Scientific Director and Head of Training at LDB, presented the findings of a major study based on Greek data, which highlighted the urgent need for such an initiative in Greece.

We are very proud that, with Vichy’s longstanding expertise in scientific skincare and our holistic approach to health, we are taking on the role of Hormonall Advocate. Through Hormonall, we invite women to raise their voices, shed light on these issues, and create a unifying and inclusive space for open dialogue. This initiative will become a vehicle for women to share their experiences and spark a conversation grounded in science, ensuring access to accurate and trustworthy information.

The event also featured the heartfelt personal testimony of acclaimed actress and Vichy brand ambassador, Maria Kavogianni, who shared in a moving dialogue with Tatiana Peppa, Head of Advocacy & Communications at LDB, her journey of discovery and understanding of the different hormonal chapters she has lived through. In addition, distinguished Pharmacist and Health & Wellness Coach, Revekka Dirchalidou, offered valuable insights on how healthcare professionals can support women experiencing hormonal changes, highlighting both the psychological dimension and the pivotal role of health professionals in this journey.

This collaboration strengthens the supportive and essential nature of Hormonall, enabling public education, the adaptation of global research to local contexts, and the development of joint communication initiatives. Our vision is to ensure that women’s health becomes a priority for women themselves, for science, for society, and for the state.
