On Thursday, September 25, 2025, to mark the 130th anniversary of the House of ZOLOTAS, President Marianne Le Clère Papalexis and Artistic Director George Papalexis welcomed distinguished guests and friends of the Maison from France to the emblematic Hôtel Marcel Dassault, in the heart of Paris’s “Golden Triangle,” for a journey through time into the mythical universe of ZOLOTAS.
The magical imagery of the Parthenon frieze adorned the venue’s path, where thirty showcases revealed more than one hundred jewels—new creations unveiled for the first time alongside iconic masterpieces, expressions of the House’s inexhaustible creative heritage. Each jewel was a unique work of high jewelry, sculpted according to the tradition of “ZOLOTAS Goldsmithing.”
Among the forty new pieces presented exclusively for the anniversary, mythological creatures were reborn through intricate gold weaving in the “Heritage” set with diamonds and lion heads, while the radiance of Byzantine jewelry came alive in the “Byzance” rings, adorned with diamonds and yellow and blue sapphires.
Strikingly contemporary, the “Gold Bars” jewelry set, inspired by the modern symbol of gold bars, was unveiled in a harmonious blend of 22K gold and white gold with diamonds. The “Mythics” pieces, as high jewelry masterpieces, celebrate the modern allure of diamonds. The lion of Nemea, “Nemea,” revealed its majesty and power through a mane adorned with golden granules and diamonds, in bracelet, ring, and earring designs. Finally, the “Legend” pieces in 22K gold with citrines, aquamarines, and diamonds brought to life the myth of the Golden Fleece.
During this dreamlike evening, the sensual melodies of renowned Greek composers Hadjidakis, Theodorakis, and Xarhakos, performed by a talented quartet of musicians traveling especially from Greece under the direction of Neoklis Neofytidis, intertwined with the beauty of poems by Homer, Baudelaire, and Victor Hugo, recited movingly by acclaimed actress Katerina Didaskalou.
In his address, Artistic Director George Papalexis thanked the guests and defined the House’s unique artistry of “Goldsmithing”, praising the unmatched creativity that evolves continuously through time, keeping alive the legend of ZOLOTAS jewelry.
The anniversary creations will travel from Paris to Athens in November 2025, as part of the House’s historic jubilee celebrations.
