Audi ushers in a new design era with the unveiling of the Concept C – a fully electric two-seater roadster that embodies the philosophy of radical simplicity and marks the next step for the brand with the four rings.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner stated:
“Clarity, focus, and commitment to execution – this is how we are redefining not only design but the entire company. Clarity is our ethos and the compass that will guide Audi into its next era.”
Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella emphasized:
“Radical simplicity lies at the heart of our approach. We aim to shape a brand capable of inspiring desire and leaving a cultural imprint. This is Audi’s Radical Next.”
Audi Concept C – The New Identity
The new prototype introduces Audi’s fresh design language, highlighted by a vertical frame inspired by the legendary Auto Union Type C and a four-element light signature that will characterize future Audi models. Clean, sculpted surfaces and geometric precision capture the essence of the philosophy: reduction to the essentials, with no superfluous elements.
Inside, the same principle applies: minimalism infused with emotion. Architectural surfaces, metallic controls with the signature “Audi click,” and a newly designed steering wheel with premium materials convey elegance and technical precision. The retractable 10.4-inch display and Shy Tech solutions ensure information appears at the right moment – without distraction.
From Heritage to Future
Audi draws inspiration from its legacy – from the quattro revolution in automotive history to the iconic TT and third-generation A6 (2004) – translating these milestones into a new design stance that fuses technological progress with emotion. “Every concept we present is linked to a production decision,” Döllner confirmed. The Concept C will be built at the Böllinger Höfe plant in Germany, ensuring the new design identity is carried directly into series production.
Strategic Outlook
Since its 2023 Agenda, Audi has launched more than 20 new models within just 24 months, creating the youngest portfolio in the premium segment. In 2026, production of a new all-electric model will begin in Ingolstadt, coinciding with Audi’s entry into Formula 1 – the ultimate testing ground for cutting-edge technology.
With the Concept C, Audi is not simply presenting a prototype. It is showcasing its vision, courage, and determination to redefine the very notion of design in automotive culture. A car that embodies “Radical Next” and clearly points the way forward for the brand.
