The charismatic Colombian designer, Mercedes Salazar, was invited by Salt Water to the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos to present her new collection of home objects. Inspired by nature, life’s simple pleasures, her passion for art, and her love for handcrafted materials, her collection filled the space with color, authenticity, and the brand’s unique temperament—as every piece is handmade by Colombian artisans.
The Belvedere Hotel, a signature destination in Mykonos, provided the perfect setting for the event, as part of its 2025 collaboration with Salt Water, which promises many more surprises to come. The evening had a festive atmosphere, with guests admiring the exceptional creations and speaking with Mercedes Salazar herself. Among the attendees was the renowned Nobu Matsuhisa, whose presence officially marked the beginning of the summer season. The Belvedere is home to the iconic Nobu Matsuhisa Mykonos restaurant—a landmark of the island’s culinary scene.
