The Race of Classic and Traditional Boats “OCEANIDA 2023” will take place for the fourth consecutive time, between October 20-22, 2023, in the area of Faliro bay.
“OCEANIDA” is an official race with traditional wooden sailing boats and dinghies on the coastal front of Attica, offering the citizens of our city the opportunity to come into contact with and admire these unique historical vessels up close.
The race is co-organized with the Attica Region and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and the Hellenic Sailing Federation.
On the same day, a small “Village” will be created in collaboration with voluntary and social organizations, with the ultimate goal of further informing the public about issues concerning the marine environment and our maritime tradition. Join them between 14.00 – 18.00, at the Kallithea Municipality’s Nautical Marina.
Non-profit and charitable organizations, such as DESMOS NPO, Greenpeace, WWF Greece, etc., will support us and present their work. At the same time, open awareness workshops will be held for young and old on environmental issues.
The DAFNI Network, active in the green transition of our islands, will present green practices and programs related to energy and waste management, while our little friends will be able to attend workshops and group games in collaboration with the Scouts of Greece. At the same time, there will be demonstrations and introductory Skateboard lessons with renowned athletes in the field in collaboration with Color Skates, and Surf lessons with the Greek Surfing Academy.
