The next Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold will be available exclusively on September 8, 2025. This is the second watch in a series dedicated to the full moon, featuring Swatch’s latest Earth phase indicator, illustrations from the world of Snoopy, and a Moon phase display adorned with OMEGA’s Moonshine™ Gold.
Inspired by the September full moon – often called the Harvest Moon or Corn Moon – this edition features a whimsical Moon phase design with a popcorn twist. The Moon surface is reimagined as rows of golden corn kernels with a classic popcorn box in the foreground. This playful reference to the September full moon also carries a deeper meaning: imagination, like popcorn kernels, can burst open under the right conditions, transforming into something extraordinary.
A Unique Display of Earth and Moon Phases
This Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold showcases an Earth phase indicator at 10 o’clock and a Moon phase indicator at 2 o’clock. First introduced by Swatch in 2024, the Earth phase complication depicts oceans coated with UV light on a starry background. The Moon phase shows two full moons – both coated in OMEGA’s Moonshine™ Gold – one in the distinctive Snoopy style, the other inspired by the Harvest Moon appearing the night before this watch’s launch.
Both indicators follow a 29.5-day cycle but move counter to each other: when a full Moon appears, a new Earth is displayed, and vice versa. At 9 o’clock, Snoopy and his faithful friend Woodstock sit on the Moon, gazing at Earth. A hidden phrase, visible only under UV light, playfully pays tribute to the pioneering spirit of the Moonwatch and those who dare to imagine differently.
Crafted in Bioceramic with OMEGA Speedmaster DNA
Like all Bioceramic MoonSwatch models, this watch is made from Swatch’s patented Bioceramic – a blend of ceramic and bio-sourced castor oil materials. Its exclusive deep navy-blue tone evokes the vastness of space, while design details echo the legendary OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch: the asymmetrical case, recessed subdials, and signature look.
The dial and crown proudly display the OMEGA X Swatch logos, while the caseback features its mission statement engraving. The battery cover includes a design inspired by Earth, and the navy-blue rubber VELCRO® strap adds a cool astronaut-inspired touch.
This model will be available in selected Swatch stores worldwide on September 8, 2025, the day after the full moon. As with all Bioceramic MoonSwatch designs, sales are limited to one watch per person, per store.
