Operating beyond the conventional boundaries of architectural thought and production, the p+Research+Design unit enriches its investigative work by drawing insights from a wide range of scientific and creative disciplines—posing questions and actively seeking answers.
The need to create a dedicated research unit within Potiropoulos+Partners arose from the firm’s ongoing engagement with the global architectural discourse and the evolving conversations surrounding contemporary architectural, social, cultural, and environmental issues. Today’s complex living conditions draw upon knowledge from the humanities, social sciences, economics, political and administrative sciences, and technological fields—based on the hypothesis that five core elements influence architectural and urban design: nature, people, society, buildings, and networks.
Potiropoulos+Partners is committed to exploring proposals across these axes that aim to enhance quality of life, through a multi-directional, inclusive research process.
The p+Research+Design platform, hosted as a dedicated microsite on the firm’s official website, serves as both a physical and intellectual space for innovative ideas and proposals.
