The 8th Mediterranean Yacht Show opens its curtains from the 29th of April through to the 3rd of May 2023
Conducted and scheduled – including all of the event’s activities and events – under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the Greek Yachting Association is pleased to announce this year’s 8th Mediterranean Yacht Show which will be hosted in the beautiful historical coastal town of Nafplion this year.
As a specific trade show for professionals, the scope of the Mediterranean Yacht Show which is Greece’s main yachting event is to showcase the very best licensed and legally operating highly professional yachts and crews in this part of the World. With that being said, Greek professional yachting is slightly historically different to that of the Mediterranean, indeed the rest of the world due to the fact that Greece, as a nation, possesses a somewhat more prominent role due to the large number of Greek shipowners – men and women who are not just mere investors but are personally very passionate and knowledgeable both about the sea and sea faring activities. Ultimately, this factor lends the event a certain singularity that is abundantly evident from the sheer number of participating yachts, not to mention companies, media and brokers from around the world that attend.
Additionally to the event’s commercial significance which naturally provides a unique forum for the industry, its importance also benefits placing Greece firmly on the global map. This has been further helped by the Greek State’s recognition and growing support in this ever-evolving sector which has grown from strength-to-strength year on year. Asides from Greece providing some of the most beautiful destinations in the world for sailing and yacht chartering which is indeed a given, yachting professionals are clearly ready to embrace Greece’s new liberal legal status, thereby making it an even more attractive and unique destination as well as an important factor that without a doubt will ultimately lead to further growth.
