In an atmosphere of refined aesthetics, cosmopolitan glamour and genuine emotion, the opening of internationally acclaimed painter Ioanna Efthimiou’s new solo exhibition took place on the evening of 25 July at Myconian Villa Collection, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection and part of the family-owned Myconian Collection.
The exhibition brought together a distinguished group of guests from the worlds of art, business, shipping, fashion, diplomacy and the international social scene. Attendees had the opportunity to view the artist’s new body of work, entitled My Myconos.
Efthimiou’s works, distinguished by their recognisable visual language, vivid pop-inspired colours and enduring symbolism, received enthusiastic praise and admiration from those present, further reinforcing the international appeal of her work.
A particular highlight of the evening was the presence of the guest of honour, US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, whose attendance attracted considerable attention and lent added prestige to the occasion. Her presence underscored the international character of the event and the interest generated by Efthimiou’s artistic practice.
Guests enjoyed an evening devoted to art and inspiration, exchanging views with the artist and viewing works that create a dynamic dialogue between contemporary aesthetics and enduring cultural heritage.
The evening concluded in a warm and celebratory spirit, leaving a lasting impression on those present and reaffirming Mykonos’s position as a leading international destination for art, culture and refined aesthetics.
The exhibition is open daily until the end of September 2026 in the lobby of the Myconian Villa Collection, and is expected to become one of the island’s most notable cultural events of the summer, attracting collectors, art enthusiasts and international personalities.
